...remove the lead infested choking hazard slip cover from the nursing pillow which i have been using 24-7 for the last 6 weeks against my sweet newborn's body (um..not to mention MY body)...is there anything out there that is safe? anything?
Outrageous! WHY IS LEAD PAINT STILL BEING MANUFACTURED???? The good news is that you have to injest it for it to be harmful. So unless Maeve (or you!) has been putting the zipper in her mouth lately, I'm sure you're both safe! =) The whole choking hazard gets me, though...potentially, everything small is a choke hazard...like, I wonder if they'll stop using those plastic things to hold tags onto clothes at stores because when parents take them home and cut them off...there ya go...a choking hazard...sheesh!
amelie DID actually choke on one of those clothing tag thingys once--there was one hidden in the fur on the ear of her stuffed teddy bear and somehow she dug it out of the fur and put it in her mouth when she was 6 months old...oh yeah and just to make things fun i was driving at the time! that was ONE scary experience--i definately looked twice for those tags from then on!
