mmmm....donut

amelie ate her first donut this weekend too! it was big, pink and shaped like a heart and she loved it!

amelie loves playing with water for some reason...i'm not sure where she got it from since i hate getting wet--but it makes her happy! her new favorite thing is to "clean" the sink with the scrub brush.

granny and pop pop

amelie was very excited this weekend to see granny and pop pop! it's always nice when they can stop by--i am putting up a picture in which i think gigi is attacking my mom and amelie looks angry because it's a bit early for her!

pot luck

i haven't blogged lately as things have been busybusybusy at school this past week and at home but amelie had some events to take note of! she had her first dish of ice cream....mmmm vanilla! she wore a business suit and took a nap on the porch outside with elmo when it was...about 20 degrees...

i like big boots and i cannot lie...

amelie likes stompin' around in her winter boots--she doesn't care where or when she stomps--she just does it and she likes it.

YAY! it's amelie's first snow experience. she liked to walk in it but she refused to wear gloves so she didn't really enjoy picking it up--the poor girl's hands were freezing! it was fun while it lasted though!

amelie got her first bloody nose today...ew...she was dare devil jumping off the couch and landed on her nose before i could throw a pillow under her, silly stunt girl!

oh the weather outside is frightful

today amelie wanted to play "outside" but it's freezing so i let her dress up with hat and coat to play on our balcony. she was having fun and chasing our puppy but it's so cold i didn't want her to be out for too long, so i dragged her inside and she wasn't very happy about it. so she threw a little tantrum and refused to let me take off her coat and hat even though she's inside now...so she's all bundled up with no where to go!

amelie calls elephants "elphadees" and i like it! she also "counts"---one, two, mama, daddy, eat, ball.....well, she thinks she's counting anyways! and twinkle twinkle little star sounds like, "twinke twinke twinka."

and they called it puppy love

amelie loves our little puppy! she is all dressed up for her second week of big girl sunday school and she actually brought home her first sunday school papers which reduced her mama to a pile of tears--it goes too fast!

steven went to put on amelie's pj pants this morning and she was struggling a bit so he ended up with two legs in one pant leg--it was silly and amelie was not happy about it. unfortunately it happened two more times while we were trying to right the situation since she was so squirmy!

here is a recent picture of amelie's first official pony tail--it's a big deal when you spend the first 12 months of your live without any hair at all!

bath time bonanza

amelie really enjoys bath time! when she heard the new puppy was getting a bath she had to have one too, so to commemorate the occasion we took some pictures--unfortunately the puppy was too difficult to photograph for this event, but amelie proved to be a willing subject!

it's a boy!

our new puppy, Gigi, (a shih tzu) has joined the weber family and he's a bouncing baby boy born on thanksgiving! we love him already!

the pink pillow pictures

so, amelie was carrying around her big pink pillow this morning and she was so happy and cute i decided to do a little photo shoot before work. well, for the first time ever she started doing her own special poses for each picture, it was the cutest thing ever. too bad she's going to be basically a midget when she grows up b/c apparently she has the model posing gene =-)

the love of my life

this picture had to be put online to document the rarity of the event--amelie found a barrette and asked me to put it in her hair--this is unheard of and just as i tried to capture it on film she yanked it out...but it was really cute while it lasted!

amelie's new favorite thing is eating chocolate pudding on her own--it's a little scary sometimes as more often ends up on her face, the floor, the walls, the carpet, the cupboards, her clothes, my clothes....then in her mouth, but it sure does make her happy!

my daughter amelie is only slightly addicted to watching television (it's no one's fault, i'm fairly sure it's genetic) anywho, she especially likes to watch sesame street while in her recliner--times sure have changed since i was a little kid!
