i have been looking forever for a "play" camera for amelie to use as she has always been fascinated by my camera (i'm a little picture obsessed--EVERY moment is a kodak moment, ha!). anyways, it seems like you can only find digital cameras or real cameras for kids but yay for sears--they had a PRINCESS camera (it's also a viewfinder but she hasn't figured that out yet)! when you press the button it flashes and says, "you look beautiful today!" i love it! so now amelie has to take a picture of herself or baby sister before i am allowed to.

while trying to come up with a catchy little title for today's entry all that keeps running through my head is the above sentiment as amelie is watching dora the explorer (who has repeated that phrase a good 25 times in the last 2 minutes). all i can say to this is URGH, least favorite kids show ever. (seriously dora, i can't abide your incessant yammering). anywho, here are some pictures of my girls just because! i'm so thankful for my sweet babies!

i was minding my own business eating breakfast at the table when i heard maeve fussing in her bouncy seat--so i transferred her to the boppy so she could have some table top tummy time. i thought she was lookin' cute so i grabbed the camera and before i could take one picture princess amelie jumped up on the table too and told me in no uncertain terms, "mama, you can take our picture together--NOT just baby sister." so here they are! what can i say? it's hard for a princess to share the spot light...

today i tried to get maeve to take a pose similar to one i took of amelie back in the day and this is the closest that i got...she was making some funny faces!

it's the most wonderful time of the year

the girls and i went to the mall today because i've finally decided what dresses i wanted to get them for christmas--here they are! it is very difficult to find matching dresses for an infant and a toddler and children's place was the only store that had coordinating options (in my price range) AND they were on sale! woo hoo! amelie loves her "princess" dress and is eating graham crackers in it right now while watching barbie and playing soccer...i'm hoping this dress is still cute by christmas! Or, at least until we get our family picture taken!

* my stinkin' awesome stroller doesn't fit in my slightly less awesome car.

* maeve slept in 2 hr. intervals last night--4 would be better but 2 is livable

* when did fall become winter? btw--was it ever fall b/c i think i missed it.

* my husband got me the most beautiful roses today and the yummiest chocolate milk shake last night. i <3 him.

* amelie loves her baby sister--it's pretty much the cutest thing ever.

* i have a small crush on the boy from pushing daisies...he's dreamy.

* i haven't scrapbooked in like 3 months. i'm scared to see how much catching up i have to do! i don't think it's going to happen any time soon...

* i love how newborns live all curled up in a cozy little ball.

* i love how toddlers make fishy faces, give fabulous kisses and learn dance routines like no one's business.

* our heat is finally working--YAY!
