christmas is coming!

so today is the official start of christmas break! woo hoo! 1.5 weeks of family time! my parents are coming up this weekend to celebrate christmas with us and amelie's birthday.

in other news, my car is broken =-( we won't know what's wrong with it until tomorrow--stinkin' check engine light--but that's what happens when your car is 11 years old!

i commandeered steven's car today and met up with some of our favorite people at the children's museum--it was fun! i love trips to the museum (our fab grandparents of the east bought us a family year long pass! yay!).

happy birthday hannah and aiden!

today amelie and maeve had their first big kid birthday party. our friend hannah turned 3 today while her brother aiden turned 2! their mama had two babies on the same day--just a year apart! i can't believe how time flies, it seems just like our yesterday our "little" 3 year olds were born!










amelie had a blast eating pizza, cupcakes, ice cream, playing pin the patch on diego's vest, and with all her little friends and just taking in the general splendor.

maeve slept.

we were lucky enough to have the help of the granny of the east who was on amelie duty while i was on maeve duty--fyi--i think i got the easier end of the bargain ;) amelie didn't want to leave (especially since i'm pretty sure she thought she'd be able to take home at least one of the presents) but had some outdoor fun with granny when we got home while mama attended to little sister's needs. it was a lovely day and i'm totally glad i didn't have to clean up after 10 toddlers, their parents and little baby siblings!

labor day

little miss maeve is finally here! and it only took me 24 hours to figure out how to blog on my television...i nearly did a blog during labor (the still smiling part) but couldn't figure out this ghetto internet system. anywho, maeve was born after 11 hours of labor and 2 minutes of pushing! i'll write the real story when i'm home and comfy so you can hear all the gory details =-) she weighs 6 pounds 15 ounces (i'll spare you my weight) and is 20 inches long and beautiful!!!!! i am thrilled she is here and will post pictures soon!

wednesday is a wonderful day for a birthday!

amelie and i had a very nice morning at the park with our friends the smith's and upon coming home received the excellent news that our good friend miss megan had her baby this morning! yay for little leah, we can't wait to meet you!
nothing quite that exciting is going on in the weber household...but technically it can't be THAT much longer....so, here's to hoping that it's sooner rather then later!

in other news, amelie has been working on her biking skills...she still isn't pedalling (even though she can) but prefers pushing her bike along by foot--at least she's easier to catch this way!
